Privacy Policy
PaceMind ("PaceMind," "we," "our," or "us") is a personal budgeting app that stores your financial plan on your device. This Privacy Policy explains what information PaceMind handles when you use the app.
1. Scope
This policy applies to the PaceMind iOS app. PaceMind has no account system, backend service, bank connection, advertising service, or analytics service.
2. Information Stored on Your Device
PaceMind stores information you enter or create in the app, including:
- Your first name and financial check-in selection.
- Financial aid, university charges, income sources, and spending caps.
- Transactions and the monthly vaults and categories assigned to them.
- Manually entered account names, institutions, account types, last four digits, and balances.
- Your time zone and app-generated dates and identifiers needed to maintain your plan.
This information is used only to calculate and display your budget, monthly projections, ledger, and related in-app guidance.
3. Information We Collect or Receive
We do not collect, receive, or transmit your PaceMind financial data. The app does not require an account or email address, connect to your bank, track your location, serve ads, or use third-party analytics.
4. Storage and Security
PaceMind saves its data in the app's private storage area on your device and applies iOS file protection to the saved plan. We cannot access, recover, or remotely delete this data because it is not stored on our servers.
Your device operating system may include app data in device backups according to your Apple and device settings. Those backups are controlled by you and the applicable platform provider.
5. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, share, or disclose your PaceMind financial data to advertisers, data brokers, or other third parties because we do not receive it.
Apple may process App Store, device, or diagnostic information independently under Apple's own terms and privacy policy. PaceMind does not send your financial plan to Apple.
6. Data Retention and Your Choices
Your PaceMind data remains on your device until you edit or delete individual records in the app or remove the app from your device. Copies may remain in device backups until those backups are deleted under your platform settings.
7. Children's Privacy
PaceMind is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
8. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy if PaceMind's features or data practices change. We will update the "Last updated" date when we do.
